Our Youth Need Your Support

The Foundation makes financial assistance available to youth who are wards or former wards of the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto. With the rising cost of post-secondary education, we need your help in ensuring CCAS youth can get the support they need to succeed in life. Many of these youth have struggled with inadequate housing and poverty. Obtaining post-secondary education is critical in helping these youth break away from urban poverty and unemployment. Paying for college or university is almost impossible for many of our youth who lack the financial and emotional support of a family.

The scholarship criteria are acceptance in a college, university, or job training program, and a recommendation from the youth's caseworker. Scholarships are distributed once a year at our annual Scholarship Event, which is held in late August..

You can donate any amount towards a scholarship, or establish your own individual or corporate scholarship: $1,500 will support a youth attending college for one year $2,200 will support a youth attending university for one year $5,000 named as a corporate scholarship will help one or more youth attend college or university for one year An endowment of $25,000 (minimum) will support education for perpetuity (Click here to view the Foundation's complete list of named scholarships)
