WHO WE ARE

The Hope for Children Foundation is a registered charity (Revenue Canada business number is 87382 5426 RR0001). For nearly 25 years, the Foundation has been supporting the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CCAS) in delivering education and poverty relief programs to its clients with focus on child abuse prevention. By helping families deal with social issues such as poverty, lack of affordable housing and childcare, substance abuse and mental health issues, we provide hope for a brighter future. Many of the Foundation’s programs are designed to help alleviate crisis situations that can lead to abuse. It is the philosophy of the Foundation that every child has the right to a happy and healthy childhood. By helping families deal with poverty, violence, housing shortages and lack of childcare and education, we can better protect children and keep families together. The Hope for Children Foundation was founded in 1980 and incorporated in 1989. It operates in the geographical area of greater Toronto. VISION The Hope for Children Foundation supports brighter futures for children and youth in need of protection, to strengthen their families, and to help them realize their hopes, dreams and potential. MISSION The Hope for Children Foundation raises funds to support programs that strive to create strong and healthy futures for children, youth and families served by the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto.
