YOUR LETTERS

Making A Difference One Family at a Time: While we treasure each letter of acknowledgement from families who receive assistance from the Foundation, some of these letters are truly inspiring and bring home the importance of giving. Here are a few letters that have touched our hearts:
Gratitude from 2008 Adopt-a-Family program recipients:

God bless you all for the special Christmas we will have this year. Not even words can express my thanks. I will always and forever remember Christmas 2008, because of Santa and his “Special Elves.” Please know how special each one of you are.. You truly have no idea how much this means to me and my son.

Thank you so much for your generosity this holiday season. Your gifts are more than I could have ever imagined. I had planned to have a small potluck for Christmas dinner with my friends and family. But because of you, we had enough to feed everybody. You have not only helped me and my family, but two other families. In the past, I had always been more of a giver than a receiver. But, with my situation changing I have not been able to give as much as before. You have proven to me that old saying of “if you give, you shall receive” is true because me and my family received when we needed it most. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will be in my thoughts and prayers for years to come.

To the wonderful members of our community that have taken the time to help so many children and families: I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for such a caring gift. The presents were amazing, and so much more than we could have asked and wished for. It means so much to all of us. Because of people like you, our family really knows what being kind, selfless and generous is all about. For that we cannot thank you enough, and we will never forget the kindness you have showed us all. Wishing you and yours a Christmas as wonderful as the one you have given us, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Thank you for reaching out with your love this Christmas season. Even though I will never meet you, you are special to my daughter and me. My daughter is glad for all the toys and clothes you have given her and I really love the sheets and comforter. Thank you for the never-ending gift. What you have done for us will live forever. May God bless you, and may he bless you with more.
I’ve never received this kind of support from anyone—not even my own family. They have given me a reason to be optimistic about life!
Letter from a family that received Heart to Hand gifts:
We want to thank you for such a wonderful Christmas. We had no idea how special and enjoyable this season could be thanks to the generosity of people like you. We were deeply touched by your gesture and we will always remember this Christmas as one-of-a-kind. Every time we wear the clothes we received as gifts, we think back and re-live all the happiness and excitement. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we hope you can continue to brighten the loves of others, in the same way you brightened ours.
Letter from a Scholarship Recipient:

Thank you to the donors, foster parents and social workers for being the cheerleaders of youth in care.  When we didn’t have the strength to cheer ourselves on, you were there encouraging us to achieve greatness!

Heart to Hand
